Project JD

Personal Project
For those who follow such things you know that Topps celebrated 70 years of being in the baseball card business with Project70, a year-long initiative in which a select group of artists and creatives designed their own cards which were then made available for purchase. Snoop Dogg was asked to participate. I was not. Shocker, I know.

But what if I had been invited? Well, my 20-card set would look something like this. Each card uses past Topps designs as reference points. The 1969 Topps series for Brooks and Frank Robinson. The 1960 Topps series for Pete Rose. The 1986 Topps series for Fernando Tatis, Jr. I wanted these to feel new and fresh while also exuding some of that vintage baseball card vibe from decades past.
